Join the Greenock Wanderers RFC, We are building a rugby community for all children from the ages of 5 to 17.

We are building a rugby community for all children from the ages of 5 to 17.

Our club wants to expand rugby in the Inverclyde area and are looking to give as many children as possible the chance to take up sport.

One of our goals bring more girls and boys into the sport of rugby. So if you have a child who could benefit from a team sport, rugby could be the sport for them.

Reasons to should consider rugby:

MAKE LIFONG FRIENDS
The team nature of the sport and the culture of respect both help to build very strong friendships within teams. Particularly in community teams like ours, it’s a great opportunity to make friends outside of school.

FAST GROWING SPORT FOR WOMEN
Women’s rugby is now one of the fastest growing team sports in the world. In total, more than 2.7 million women and girls play the sport at all levels.

IMPROVES PHYSICAL HEALTH
⁣⁣⁣Playing rugby brings physical health benefits to anyone who takes to the field.

DEVELOPS SOCIAL SKILLS
A huge part of development is social skills & interaction with others. The team spirit of rugby is a positive factor that contributes greatly to social skills, self-esteem & confidence.

THE WANT TO WIN⁣⁣⁣
Because it feels good, because it bonds the team & because everyone should know that there are rewards for top effort on the pitch.

POSITIVE ROLE MODELS⁣⁣⁣
You will be surrounded by positive mentors in coaches and older players, on and off the pitch. You will discover the power of respect & leadership which is key in the game of rugby.

And most importantly have fun.

Rugby is a sport for everyone, any shape, any size, any ability. So come along and join our community.
