Greenock Visit from Scotland Stars and Their “Greenock Granny”

Greenock had the honour of hosting a special visit from “Greenock Granny” Jaqueline Thomson, accompanied by her grandsons, Scotland Captain Sione Tuipulotu and his brother Mosese Tuipulotu, who plays Centre for Edinburgh and recently earned his first international cap for Scotland A.

The Tuipulotu brothers brought their grandmother back to Greenock, where she had the chance to revisit her roots and tour her old family home. Remarkably, the house is now occupied by Greenock Wanderers Under-16s captain Innes Brown and his family, making the visit a memorable occasion for all.

The Brown family warmly welcomed Jacqueline and her grandsons, giving them a tour of the home and Jacqueline’s former bedroom. It was a heartwarming moment as memories were shared and connections made.

It was great to see Sione sporting the club’s bobble hat, which he was presented with during a previous Scotland match.
