Stewartry v GWRFC U14s – Match Report

Today our U14s made the long journey to Castle Douglas to play Stewartry and Cambuslang in the next round of the Challenge Competition.

The girls all performed so well and are really finding their feet in their new, higher, league.

We had two debuts today from Ava L and Abi W and they both absolutely smashed it and got stuck in from the first whistle! We can’t wait to see them even more in the future, well done girls!

Our Attacking Player of the match went to Aria P for some great forward carries, hitting rucks well and motivating her teammates with her shot as team captain for the day – great job Aria!

Our defensive player of the match is not much surprise as Ailidh H showed us all again why she’s the next Scotland Fullback! Try saving tackle after try saving tackle courtesy of Ailidh kept the girls in the game and won her many cheers from the sidelines – well done Ailidh!

The girls have a well deserved week off next weekend as they prepare for their new pool of the Challenge Competition. It’s never too late to start – why not come down to training and give it a try.
